Despite acknowledging the temptation to focus on the next election, the President encouraged the Kenya Kwanza team to prioritise the country’s transformation.

President William Ruto has expressed his pride and gratitude to Kenya Kwanza MPs and members of his Executive for their exceptional support in realising his policies.

The President commended the team for successfully enacting enabling legislation to anchor his development manifesto during a joint National Executive Retreat and Parliamentary Group consultative meeting in Naivasha on Monday.

“I am a very proud leader of this team. In the last year, we have seen many things happen, not because of myself and my deputy or ministers or MPs alone, but all of us together,’’ President Ruto stated, emphasising the collective effort of his team.

He thanked the MPs specifically, urging them to remain focused on changing Kenya. “I want to appreciate the input and contribution of every one of you to the place we are in today,’’ he added.

President Ruto reminded the team of the historic opportunity they have to steer the country towards progress and development.

“We have a historic opportunity to change this country. I want to urge you that let's all seize this moment; it is a moment when we have a manifesto that, if and when implemented, can transform Kenya,’’ he asserted.

Priority

Despite acknowledging the temptation to focus on the next election, the President encouraged the Kenya Kwanza team to prioritise the country’s transformation.

“Let’s focus on what contribution we can make in changing the destiny of our country,’’ he emphasised.

Highlighting the need for pragmatic decisions over populist ones, President Ruto stressed, “The transformation of our country requires confronting situations about what is right and not what is popular. I promise that I will lead from the front so that we can change Kenya.’’

‘’When I said I am a man on a mission, I meant it. We want to change Kenya. If you have any doubt, you just need to be patient; Kenya is going to change,’’ Ruto said, reaffirming his commitment to the mission.

The president's words serve as a rallying call for the Kenya Kwanza team to continue their efforts in implementing transformative policies for the benefit of the nation.
